Coach Jack Bush, known as the “Dean of High School Basketball” joined Central High School as the head Basketball coach in 1968. Bush, led the Blue eagles for 33 years, winning 799 games, 12 final four appearances and 1 State Title in 1979.

Coach Jack Bush has received many awards and accolades for his astonishing Basketball Coaching career. He received the National High School Gold Coach Award from Scholastic Coach Magazine in 1988. In 1999, he was selected as Coach of the Year by the Kansas City Star and was selected to coach the McDonald’s All-American Basketball team. Bush was also the winner of the Eddie Ryan Award as the Best Basketball Coach in Kansas City, five times.

Join us on December 11, 2017 at 5pm as we celebrate and honor THE legendary Jack Bush. We will be dedicating our new basketball court in his honor.

The evening will start with a campus tour and reception. The court dedication will begin before the start of the game at 6:30pm. Following the dedication, the Blue Eagle’s Varsity Basketball team will tip off against the Southeast Knights at 7:30pm.
